My latest Sewing project

I will call this my Bessie Bonnet quilt because I didn't copy the pattern exactly. The design started in the 1800s because of an author who wrote about sunbonnet babies. The pictures never showed the childrens faces. In 1902 another author E. Grover wrote The Sunbonnet Babies Primer that was used in school to teach children to read. Now the pattern is mainly called sunbonnet sue.

I cut these out yesterday. This will be my first applique quilt so I will probably make it a small lap blanket.

I also cut out a boy and a bird.

Lotion

I tried making lotion recently. It did not turn out well. I couldn't find liquid lecithin anywhere so I used lecithin granules from a health food store. I crushed them and put themm in the oil part of the recipe. I kept heating the oil until it dissolved the lecithin and then added the water and mixed. I let it cool until it was yellowish white and stirred it a lot. For the first few days it was fine, but after that it seperated. I shake it to mix it again but its very watery and not like lotion at all. I don't know how to fix it. Any suggestions are welcome :)
