Bible research

I like the site http://www.blueletterbible.org/ You can search for any word or phrase in th Bible and it will find it if its there.

Jesus loves you!

1Ti 2:3 KJV - For this [is] good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

1Ti 2:4 KJV - Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
1Ti 2:5 KJV - For [there is] one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
1Ti 2:6 KJV - Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

God wants us to dress modestly. In my opinion, I feel more feminine in skirts and dresses anyways and I can be very modest in them. Most guys also seem to show more respect to me :)  ....I actually had random guys say hi while I was shopping or just smile at me & that never happened like ever & I used to wear skinny jeans and make-up. Now I wear a head covering, no make-up most of the time and skirts & t-shirts or country-ish collar shirts. Even though I wear a head covering nobody really stares at me except people at church [they do not agree with my beliefs and I haven't found a church nearby that does :( ]. God will show me the way though. He is always there to listen.

1Ti 2:7 KJV - Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, [and] lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
1Ti 2:8 KJV - I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
1Ti 2:9 KJV - In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
1Ti 2:10 KJV - But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
1Ti 2:11 KJV - Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
1Ti 2:12 KJV - But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

To cover or not?

Jam 4:17 KJV - Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth [it] not, to him it is sin. This is why I believe I should wear a head covering. I believe God is pleased with it. It is my outward symbol that I want to be obedient to the LORD and and submissive to His will. Some people in my family are confused about this, but I would like you to know that I am still saved by the Grace of God whether or not I wear the covering; I will still go to Heaven. I do not believe you can lose you salvation for any reason as long as you are truly saved.

Homemade practical things

I recently made homemade deodorant and it works well for me. I got the recipe from http://www.tammtysrecipes.com/. I also made laundry soap from her recipe and have used it on several loads of laundry and it works like regular detergent from the store. You just have to shake it before each use. I use 1/4 cup per load.  I plan on making lip balm/chapstick also. I just need to find somewhere to buy some essential oil for flavoring.

I am also going to try her recipe for toothpaste. I'll update soon on how everything turns out.

New Covering

I decided to design a crochet a bun covering a little while back. Heres the pattern, I hope some one can use the pattern. If you don't want to use it as a covering , you can wear it as a hair net under another covering.

Crochet bun covering
I use cotton yarn and H hook.

Rnd1: Ch4. slip st to join and make ring. Ch2. 12DC in ring. join. Rnd2: CH2. 1dc in first st, 2dc in nxt. [1DC in nxt, 2DC in nxt]. repeat from [ to ]. Rnd3-5: Ch2. 2DC in first 1DC in nxt. [2Dc in nxt, 1DC in nxt] repeat. around. join. Rnd 6: CH2. 1DC in first , 2DC in nxt. [1DC in nxt, 2DC in nxt] repeat around. join. Cut a 12 inch long piece of elastic 1/8" wide and weave it through the last row. Tie elastic and hide ends. Stretch over bun and secure with bobby pins if you did not use a hairnet over bun first.
You can make the covering any size you need just measure the distance over your bun (mine is 7 1/4" because I make a flat bun). Then make a flat circle about about 1" in diameter bigger than what you measured. My flat circle was about 8 1/4" in diameter. Weave in elastic a little shorter than the distance around your bun, because it stretches. Use a safety pin to keep the one end from slipping while your weaving the other end. Then tie it and hide the ends.

Changing

I have reasearched the verses in the Bible about head covering and modesty and have come to the conclusion that I should wear a head covering and dresses or skirts every day because the Bible will always apply to our lives even though culture has changed. The Lord's commands do not change and His divine headship order will never change even though now days lots of women think they should be equal to men and wear men's clothing and be leaders over them. I do not believe that women should be preachers either. The Bible defines rules for Bishops and specificly states Men. 1 Corinthians chap. 11 explains about women covering the head and that men should not cover their head. Man is the Glory of God and woman is the Glory of man. Power on her head refers to the wonderful power of God being shown by an outward symbol on His Children.

Psalm 25:4 Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.

 11For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

 12Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

 13Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

 14Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. (Titus 2:11-14, King James Version)

 1I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.

 2The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

 3I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies. (Psalm 18:1-3, King James Version)
